Companies are often under significant pressure to innovate and have the necessity to rapidly bring products and services to the market. However, for a substantial portion of small and micro-enterprises, the demands of day-to-day operations make it practically impossible to engage in innovation. Salzburg is a hub of expertise, home to professionals from diverse educational and research institutions, as well as an excellent creative scene.
The innovation platform was established in 2019 as part of a project titled “Open Innovation Kompetenzplattform Salzburg” (06/2019 – 05/2021), supported by the State of Salzburg. In collaboration with partners Innovation Salzburg (eh. ITG), Salzburg Research, FH Salzburg, Privatuniversität Seeburg, and Paris Lodron University of Salzburg, this initiative was brought to life.
Throughout the project timeline, numerous idea campaigns were launched with a diverse range of clients and captivating inquiries from various fields. This effort led to the establishment of a large and continually growing community. The innovation and ideation platform, now operating under the new name “IdeaSpace,” is managed by Salzburg Research with its revamping in August 2023.
